The Directional Desk Compass is a solid brass reproduction of an antique air-damped compass.  The compass needle has long, balanced air paddles mounted perpendicular to the needle to allow stable readings.  The compass is 5 1/4 inches in diameter and is mounted on a heavy beautifully-finished solid hardwood base that is 6 inches in diameter and 7/8 inch thick.  The compass and base measure 1 5/8 inches thick and weighs over 1 pound.

These solid brass Spirit Levels are both beautiful and accurate levels.  We offer two sizes of these spirit levels: 4-inch and 6-inch.  The smaller model is 4 inches long by 1 1/4 inches wide, has a 3/16 inch thick solid brass base, is 1 3/8 inches tall, and weighs 8.2 ounces.  The larger level is 6 inches long, 1 1/4 inches wide, and its base is made from heavier 1/4 inch thick brass.  The 6-inch level is 1 1/2 inches tall, and weighs 13.7 ounces.  Both have brass covers that rotate 90 degrees to protect the glass level tube.
